Full course description

Course Description:

This comprehensive workshop equips dental professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully integrate 3D printing into their practice. The course is designed to provide flexibility through four asynchronous online modules, followed by a one-day, in-person hands-on training session on campus.

In the online modules, participants will learn the fundamentals of dental 3D printing, including key technologies, workflows, software, post-processing techniques, and safety protocols. Each module covers essential topics such as printing specifications, design options, support generation, and printer maintenance.

Upon completing the online portion, participants will attend a one-day, hands-on workshop where they will apply their virtual knowledge through guided activities. They will practice handling printer components, calibrating equipment, preparing designs for printing, and performing post-processing tasks under expert supervision. Competency check-offs will ensure participants leave confident in their ability to manage real-world 3D printing workflows.

By the end of this course, participants will be proficient in using 3D printing to enhance dental care and create customized patient solutions.
